The newest addition to the Williamsburg rental scene hit the market today. After years of delay, the air and space adventure known as 64 Bayard Street is finally complete, and leasing of the 53 units begins today. Brownstoner got a look inside, and they note that the development is actually two buildings, with the second fronting at 61 Richardson Street. The website currently has 20 live listings, most of which are one-bedrooms, and there's a large selection of studios as well. Only three of the listed units are two-bedrooms. Rents start at $2,900 for a 539-square-foot studio, while rents for the one-bedrooms range from $3,225 to $3,400. The two-bedrooms, asking $4,600 to $5,000 per month, are all more than 1,090-square-feet, with the largest measuring 1,177-square-feet.
Inside, the apartments feature white oak floors, 9' to 10' ceilings, central heating and air conditioning, tripled paned windows, and Bosch washer/dryers. The kitchens have upper oak cabinets, matt black lower cabinets, and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. Shared building amenities include indoor parking, bike storage, and two rooftop decks. The website and Halstead's brokerbabble also tout the building's location, which is directly across the street from the renovated McCarren Pool.
