The Upper East Side's answer to the Marble House (in terms of having an awesome pool), 45 East 74th Street, has finally sold for $26 million after more than a year on the market. Originally listed for $33 million, it was later chopped to $30 million. The final price of $26 million, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, means that the seller, Italian developer/film producer Valerio Morabito, will still come away with a profit after buying the house for $10 million in 2009 and putting another $10 million into a Joseph Pell Lombardi-designed renovation. The buyer is Zhang Xin, the CEO of a Chinese development company.
