Nautica Founder Finds Buyer for $30M Flatiron Townhouse

New, 7 comments

David Chu, founder of global lifestyle brand clothing company Nautica, bought the commercial townhouse at 25 East 22nd Street in 2004 for $9.3 million. He gut renovated the place—replacing the limestone facade and adding two additional floors, bringing the total number of floors to six, and total square footage to a gargantuan 19,800—and turned it into his corporate headquarters with showrooms, conference rooms, and stylish office. The result, as you can see, is pretty impressive. Chu later listed the townhouse for $30 million and, according, to Corcoran, the house is now in contract. No word yet on the buyer, but we hope they have some good mannequins for the space.
