New York City may be showing Staten Island some love with big redevelopment plans, but New York State is apparently not on board. The plan to build a 625-foot-tall observation wheel near the St. George ferry terminal was left off of Governor Cuomo's list of 824 projects slated to receive state funding from the regional economic development program. But only $57.4 million of the $715.9 million granted went to projects in New York City, so the wheel developers shouldn't feel that bad. [NYDN; previously]
