Somebody scrawled "GENTRIFY HERE" in bright red paint on new condo development 836 Dekalb Avenue, with an arrow pointing the building's address. Further down the street, a vacant building was tagged, "It's not a crisis, It's a scam. Capatilism is the crisis!" Not exactly "Die Hard Yuppie Scum" territory, but still, the message is clear.
