The MTA is hoping to cut down on the number of subway deaths (144 people were hit and 52 died so far this year), and they're turning to technology for the answer. They've started "testing motion sensor lasers, thermal imaging, intelligent video software, and radio frequencies to determine the best method of detecting when a person falls onto the subway tracks."
