465 Washington's New Top Will Look Just Like Its Bottom

New, 2 comments

Tribeca's Washington Street has been a hotbed for new development over the last few years, and Tribeca Citizen has the latest details on the newest project, 465 Washington Street. The site is currently occupied by a five-story building, and the owners plan to double its size with a five-story addition. A tipster sent elevations to TC, and the new top, designed by Zakrzewski + Hyde Arhcitects, will look just like the existing bottom. The addition will be set back by 7.5 feet, and it appears to include a rooftop deck. Permits have been approved by the DOB, and the project manager sent a memo to the neighbors last month telling them to prepare to lose their lot-line windows. DOB filings show that floors two to through five and floor eight will each have one apartment, while floors six/seven and nine/ten will be duplexes, for a total of seven homes.
