Hint: A Commercial Corner That's Kept Its Tiny Turrets

New, 7 comments

Welcome back to Cornerspotter, Curbed's game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into New York City and its past!

The decorative turreted top of this small commercial building has survived since this photo was taken more than 60 years ago, but today it's cluttered with plastic signs and flashy neon lights. The building has changed hands several times since it opened, and the business is now something more hands-on. It sits on a commercial street that's lined with similar low-rise structures, and it's not the only building on the block with turrets. Do you know where this building is? Leave your guesses in the comments.
