Howard Hughes has announced another new addition to the South Street Seaport: a high-end movie theater with food and drink service "comparable to those of first-class airlines." The Post reports that IPic signed a deal to create a a 40,000 square-foot outpost in the Fulton Marketplace across from Pier 17 at 11 Fulton Street. It will have 505 seats in eight auditoriums, and tickets will cost between $14 to $28. Each seat will have a personal call button, and the menu will include things like filet mignon sliders and chicken satay. Commoners can buy lower priced tickets and forgo the waiter service for an express take-out counter. The theater is set to open in mid-2015, and it joins Pier 17 and the proposed 50-story hotel/condo tower and marina as part of Howard Hughes' Seaport empire.
