Nobody, it turns out, is happy about getting a new court in their neighborhood. The city's plans to relocate the courts in 346 Broadway after selling it to a developer have been met with yet another lawsuit, this one from FiDi residents and tenants of 66 John Street, which has been slated to house the Probation Department. The suit contends that the city didn't give enough public notice, skipped the environmental review, and, of course, convicts are dangerous and shouldn't be allowed in their neighborhood. [NYND]
