The grumpy, movie-hating NIMBYs of Brooklyn Heights have won. Earlier this week, the New York City Office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting declared a partial moratorium on film and TV production in the neighborhood. While the Brooklyn Heights Association had asked the Office of Film to designate the entire area a "hot zone," only the North Heights (where residents were reportedly most vocal) will be affected. The moratorium will apparently only last for a few months, which is good because if this screws over Boardwalk, we're going to be goddamn furious. [BE]
