It's now December, which means it's time for holiday parties, the Rockefeller Center tree, and, most importantly, the annual Curbed Cup competition! For the last nine years, Curbed readers have chosen the New York City neighborhood of the year, granting it the Curbed Cup trophy. But before voting can begin, we need to know the neighborhoods that are worthy of such a prestigious honor. So while the fake pure gold trophy is being forged, we're looking for contenders.
A full 16 neighborhoods will face off in this year's Curbed Cub tournament, but which 16 should they be? Drop your nominations in the comments of this post or e-mail them over to us. We don't just want neighborhood namesplease tell us why your neighborhood deserves to vie for the top spot. Did a new development command record-breaking prices? Did the retail scene start booming?
