Aligned with the push-off of construction at 263 and 265 Broome Street, Bowery Boogie reports that renderings have been revealed for the soon-to-be boutique hotel. Funded by Sun Sun Property Investment and designed by SM Tam Architect, the corner-lot hotel at Broome and Allen will boast 7 stories, 45 rooms, and lots of balcony space, with an entrance facing Broome Street. Announced in 2012, the former site of a five-story tenement and adjoining low-rise demoed last spring "using hand devices only" sat as a sandlot until earlier this month. But no more, as a backhoe and pile driver have arrived to do their work. Be it not a burden that its neighbors include Blue Moon Hotel, Marriott Fairfield Inn, Comfort Inn, and a new Howard Johnson.
