Dock Street Dumbo Gets Rendering; New DOT Commissioner

New, 1 comment

DUMBO—A tipster sent in the above construction fence rendering of Two Trees' long-delayed Dock Street Dumbo project. The last thing we heard about this project was some pricing info back in May and it was still just a giant hole in the ground, but this has to be some sort of good sign. Then again, the last thing we heard before that was that construction was supposed to start last summer, so we'll just have to wait and see. [CurbedWire Inbox]

CITY GOVERNMENT—Bill de Blasio has named Polly Trottenberg the new Department of Transportation Commissioner. Trottenberg spent the past year serving as the Under Secretary for Policy at the U.S. Department of Transportation and has been tasked with, according to de Blasio's website, an "ambitious agenda to expand Bus Rapid Transit in the outer boroughs, reduce traffic fatalities, increase bicycling, and boost the efficiency of city streets."
