Welcome to Cornerspotter, Curbed's game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into New York City and its past!

The building pictured here is nearing its 1914 completion. While this is still both a school and a place of worship, it is no longer completely occupied by its original audience. Lore has it that this building also hosted a man of unwavering servitude to his faith and his country, who went on to become the most decorated cleric in the Army's history. What is this building and where is it located? Bonus points if you can name this high-ranking clergyman.
