When the renderings were revealed for the David Adjaye-designed building at 155th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue back in 2011, residents were not pleased; Norhattan called it a "modernist, high-rise gash" on the neighborhood. Well, now that it's complete, opinions haven't changed. One preservationist called it "an affront to the historical fabric of the neighborhood," while a nearby homeowner was more direct: "It looks like a prison to be honest with you." [DNAinfo; previously]
