Skylofts' First Buyers Still Trying to Resell Renovated Unit

New, 21 comments

Merrill Lynch executive Jason Brand and actress/director Malindi Fickle were the first people to buy an apartment in the Annabelle Selldorf-designed Skylofts when they purchased #11A for $4.2 million in 2006. After a comprehensive renovation courtesy of Cleveland Harp Architecture and Design, they put the 5,198-square-foot pad back on the market for $12.95 million in 2009. And there it remained, for three years, as they obstinately refused to chop even one cent off the price, finally delisting it last July. Now Brand and Fickle are trying again, having put the apartment back on the market once more for an even higher $13.5 million. Overpriced? Perhaps, but it's still a very fun place to look at, and the listing has all new photography.
