Unfinished Bed-Stuy House Tries for Neighborhood Record

New, 20 comments

This enormous three-story limestone townhouse at 288 Decatur Street wants to become the first of its kind in Bed-Stuy to sell for $3 million. The 4,000-square-foot, four-story townhouse contains five units—an owner's duplex with a 20-foot extension and a 1BR and studio on each of the upper two floors—but one obstacle standing in the way of it breaking the $3 million mark is the fact that, despite being under construction for years, the duplex extension is still not finished. The top floor contains only the frame of a layout with no walls or anything. As for the rest of the house, there appear to be a number of original details, but it's unclear exactly what type of work needs to be done. The listing reads, concisely, "All boilers electric pluming have been up graded." Sounds like a start.
