After a meeting this morning, people got super excited that partial subway service might return to Hurricane Sandy-damaged South Ferry station within two to three months, but that was a misunderstanding. A full repair of the station will cost $600 million and take about three years, and for now, the MTA is considering reopening the old platform or just a portion of the damage station, but they could not say when that might happen. They just know that three years with nothing at South Ferry is not an option. [WSJ]
