The Public Design Competition asked the designers of the St. Vincent's Hospital Park AIDS Memorial to make a few modifications in an attempt to simplify the design. The team recently presented those modifications to the LPC, and the GVSHP blog has the rundown. The plantings have been removed from the metal structure to bring more light to the memorial, and the slats on the structure have been narrowed. Click through for some renderings of the revised design, which the LPC has officially approved. [GVSHP; previously]
