Indian grocery store Kalustyan's now stands at 123 Lexington Avenue, but the Murray Hill brownstone was once home to Chester A. Arthur, who was inaugurated as the 21st president of the United States in his apartment's parlor in 1881. Arthur lived there both before and after his presidency, and there is a plaque on the building, but the building doesn't attract much notice for its historical significance.
