Grand Central Terminal isn't the only historic building turning 100 this year. The iconic green-topped Woolworth Building is also hitting that milestone age, having opened its doors on April 24, 1913, and it's throwing a birthday bash in the form of... an exhibition on its history and architecture that opens next week. The green-topped physical manifestation of five-and-dime baron Frank Woolworth's fortune, it was, for 16 years after its completion, the tallest building the city. The show at the Skyscraper Museum opens on February 27 and runs till July. One day, you could even live there, since the top floors are being converted into luxury condos that are set to hit the market in 2015. [Lower Manhattan; previously]
