2) Brickell: Miami's second SLS Hotel won't be by the beach. It'll be in the heart of the city's urban jungle, Brickell. Oh, and it's being designed by Philippe Starck. Natch.
3) Miami Beach: Nevermind "Foundation may need repairs," this mediterranean revival house by 1920s architect Victor Nellenbogen is magnificent, and (strangely for South Florida) comes with two fireplaces.
