Carroll Gardens Co-op with Whitewashed Brick Wants $719K

New, 6 comments

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

Price: $719,000
Address: 233 Union Street #4
Size: 2BR, 1.5BA
Maintenance: $735

This Carroll Gardens two-bedroom co-op is almost too cute, and apparently we're not the only ones who think so—36 Streeteasy users have "saved" its open house today, which is going down from 1:00 to 3:30. If you hurry, you can still make it! It might be a little crowded, though, even if the apartment is deceptively large, offering a living room, kitchen, and den/office in addition to the two bedrooms. Its main eye-catching element, however, is the exposed brick, painted white, that lines the entire eastern wall. Even if you don't approve of painting over brick—often a mistake—in this case, you've almost got to make an exception.
