Do You Prefer Your Clinton Hill Co-op with Sun or Shelves?

New, 7 comments

Imagine you have around $600,000 to spend on a place and you've narrowed it down to two apartments in the same neighborhood. How do you make up your mind? The answer is simple: you shove them into a metaphorical cage and let them battle it out until one emerges victorious. It's time for Real Estate Deathmatch.

Address: 101 Clinton Avenue #4/ 360 Clinton Avenue #2B
Price: $579,000 $595,000
Maintenance: $525 $914
Size: 2BR, 1BA 2BR, 1BA

? 101 Clinton Avenue offers a lot of natural light and space, but not much else in the way of built-in stuff (the kitchen, especially, is quite tiny.) However, the concrete floor in the bathroom is at least something you don't see every day, and there's a shared roofdeck.

? Four blocks south on Clinton is 360 Clinton Avenue, which has fewer windows, but—if we had to guess—maybe a little more overall space. The foyer doubles as a dining area and the hardwood floors were recently refinished. In addition, the kitchen is bigger (although still not big) and there is clearly room for a quite a bit of shelf space. Unfortunately, though, the maintenance fees are almost twice as high.
