This newly-renovated Boerum Hill townhouse at 165 Dean Street somewhat resembles a country estate, what with all its wooden shutters (not to mention the "farmhouse sink,") and it just became the neighborhood's most expensive listing after hitting the market for $4.2 million. The 25-foot-wide, two-family home is separated into an impressive five-bedroom owner's triplex and a less-exciting-but-eminently-rentable garden floor two-bedroom. Highlights (of the owner's triplex) include two wood-burning fireplaces, a plaid-ceilinged eat-in kitchen, and, apparently, a wet bar, although we're having trouble locating that one in the photos. Since a townhouse in neighboring Cobble Hill sold for over its $6 million asking price a few months ago, and townhouse sales in Carroll Gardens and Park Slope have been booming, 165 Dean Street's owners should probably have high hopes going forward.
