WEST VILLAGE?Time Equities launched the lasted installation of its Art in Buildings program at 223-225 West 10th Street. The building has a small window that faces 10th Street, and artist Pamela Council created a site-specific installation that can only be seen from the street. Called "Blaxidermy Venus," the artwork "explores the idea of a higher order of beauty by referencing motifs of love goddesses and using tools of modern beauty such as acrylic fake fingernails, plastic hair beads, marble contact paper, tennis balls, rubber from sneakers, and nail polish." It's on view through February 28. [CurbedWire Inbox; official]
