Eviction Postponed for Clinton Hill's Broken Angel Artist

New, 3 comments

Arthur Wood, the creator and former owner of Clinton Hill's fanciful Broken Angel mansion, was supposed to be evicted today. His home went into foreclosure, changed hands in January, and hit the market at the end of February as a "conversion site" for $4.5 million. Eviction was imminent, but now the Daily News reports that he has a few more weeks to figure out where he will go next?his eviction has been postponed until March 31. No reason was given as to why it was delayed.

But in the meantime, neighbors and supporters planned a going way block party for Wood. It's taking place tonight outside the home at 4 Downing Street, and Wood plans to auction off some artwork to raise money. One thousand people are expected to attend.
