Ever wonder how the super-rich go about decorating their Park Avenue co-ops? Commercial real estate tycoon Edward Shugrue III's $1.66 million lawsuit that he brought against his contractor provides some juicy details. Shugrue spent $400,000 on custom oak cabinets, $100,000 on Calacatta and Portoro marble, and $40,000 on brass Butler doorknobs, according to the contractor, who also claims that Shugrue told him the marble, "will make my foyer say 'Holy shit!'" So there you have it. We'll assume, based on the lawsuit, that the foyer (pictured, pre-renovation) did not up uttering any profanities. [NYP; previously]
