At Last, Bon Jovi Officially Lists Soho Penthouse for $42M

New, 31 comments

Despite speculation that Jon Bon Jovi would list his sweet, sweet Soho penthouse back in the fall of 2011, Real Estalker reports that the rock star has now formally put it on the market for $42 million. Which, it should be noted, is a mere $3 million below his dream asking price. He bought the thing for $24 million back in 2007. So if he pulls it off, that would be a pretty sweet flip.

Corcoran is the broker of choice for this major listing, a 5BR/5.5BA duplex at the top of the New Museum's 158 Mercer Street. The (heavily touched-up) photos themselves basically say all you need to know: this place is huge (7,452 square feet, to be precise), sun-filled, and has 11-foot ceilings in parts, arched doorways and three terraces. Oh, and a wood-burning fireplace where you could light one big blaze of glory.

Since selling something this pricey might not be a bed of roses, to sweeten the deal, all of the furniture and audiovisual equipment come with the pad. So take a good, hard look at those images if you have $4.2M just chilling out in your pocket (okay, safe) for the down payment. Just imagine, you could play Guitar Hero on Bon Jovi's very own PlayStation. You know, if he has one. Swoon. Will the apartment get its ask? That would be quite the miracle. Okay, we're done. For now.
