When Toll Brothers unveiled the exterior look of their new building 160 East 22nd Street in January, they told us that sales would start the next month. Well, we're now more than halfway through March, and we're still waiting for the 81 condos to officially hit the market. The sales office said they are currently meeting with interested buyers by appointment only, but they couldn't give us any pricing details. However, BuzzBuzz Home reports one tidbit of pricing info?supposedly, units will start at $870,000. The building website has some new interior renderings, as well as details about the amenities, which are pretty standard: a landscaped roof terrace with a grilling station, fitness center, children's playroom, bike storage, and Fresh Direct storage.
The building will be seeking LEED certification, so many of the materials and finishes are eco-friendly and locally sourced. Units have wide plank white oak floors, "natural honed Basaltina stone" kitchen countertops, Energy Star appliances (including washer/dryer and microwave drawers), and a 15-bottle wine cooler. Bathrooms feature low-flow Toto toilets, 8-inch rain showerheads, marble floors and walls, and Kohler soaking tubs. The building should be ready for occupancy some time next year.
While we await full pricing information, construction shots of the building are welcome on the tipline.
