About a month after the employees of the Village's Sixth Avenue Car Wash walked out over its sale, we have our first clue as to what will be happening on the sold site. Surprise, surprise?it will probably be apartments! Vanishing New York spotted an application on file with the DOB for developer PMG to build an 18-story, 27-unit building. The architect of record on the permit?which was denied last week?is Richard DeMarco (who was once on board at 5 Franklin Place). As Vanishing New York points out, PMG is also behind the new Gowanus rentals at 202 8th Street.
