The long-stalled Smith-Ninth Street station on the F and G lines is finally scheduled to reopen next month after two years' worth of renovations, Brooklyn Daily reports. Past updates promised the ribbon-cutting would take place last September, December, and then this month, so we're not holding our breath or anything. The $41 million overhaul has suffered delays from both contractors and Sandy?guess which one the city coulda controlled? But we are most definitely rooting for Red Hook's and Carroll Garden's straphangers to reclaim one of their scant public transit resources ASAP. So roll on, April 22. [BK Daily]
