20-Unit Hot Karl Building Set For Bushwick's Bleecker Street

New, 8 comments

An empty Bushwick lot sandwiched between clapboard rowhouses could see a five-story apartment building designed by our old friend Karl Fischer. The lot at 23 Bleecker Street was once occupied by the mint-green Italianate house shown above, but Wyckoff Heights reports that it was torn down back in 2007 (although it lives on in Google Streetview). Permits for the new building are still pending, but it will have 20 apartments, rooftop recreational space, bike storage, and it will undoubtedly be way less cute than the lot's previous occupant.
