Members-only club Soho House is temporarily stepping away from its Lower East Side expansion plans. Despite all of its friendly overtures, like holding public forums and penning 1,800 reassuring letters to area residents, many LESers have proven resiliently against the nightspot's attempt to occupy an abandoned former funeral home on Ludlow Street. So Soho House is withdrawing its liquor license application and plans to do some more wooing before once again broaching the community board. [The Lo-Down]
