197 Prince Street #2/3, a 3BR/2.5BA duplex, hit the market back in March for $6.75 million. Now it's on its second pricechop, though, and down to $5.1 million, a substantial 24 percent reduction from the original asking price. The condo seems to have been designed to replicate the sort of prewar co-op that one might find further uptown, complete with wood-burning fireplace, bay windows, carpeted stairs, and a lavish marble bath. And, although it looks pretty nice from where we're sitting, wealthy apartment hunters are apparently not buying it. Well, technically they're definitely not buying it, but perhaps this latest discount will help with that.
