There's some action (a dumpster filled with debris, says our tipster) in front of the Hamilton Theater, a landmarked building that dates back to 1913. The stage itself has been dark for years (the building's interior is, accordingly, beautifully decrepit), but since the dollar store on the ground closed its doors, area residents have been buzzing that it's destined to get turned into a complex of condos while keeping the protected facade and other elements intact. The commercial space on the ground floor is available for lease, but we couldn't find any building permits on file. If anyone has more info, please do drop us a line. [Harlem Bespoke; previously]
