Clocktower Penthouse Returns With Fresh Discount to $18M

One way to gain major cred as a broker: be the one to sell Dumbo's clocktower penthouse. The timepiece-dominated pad atop One Main Street has been on the market so long it's already inspired art, and the price just keeps falling, with no broker able to close the deal. The latest to take a shot at it are three Corcoran brokers who, according to StreetEasy, listed the place today for $18 million. That's $1 million less than the most recent price, and many millions less than the original 2009 price of $25 million. The clocks must be an increasingly unpleasant reminder to the apartment's brokers, for whom time is most definitely ticking.
