Pedestrian Improvements

New, 5 comments

Q: How long does it take to create a pedestrian plaza in Clinton Hill? A: More than six years, apparently. But last night the Public Design Commission finally approved plans to transform four blocks of Myrtle Avenue between Hall Street and Emerson Place. Two blocks would be entirely closed to traffic to become a plaza, and there will be new bus stops, more trees and planters, a water feature, permanent art installations, and moveable tables and chairs. Construction will start this summer. [Brownstoner; previously]
