It's difficult to view this stunning 6BR/4BA duplex in the Beresford, or any apartment in the Beresford for that matter, as a lesser version of anything. That said, this 17th/18th floor duplex is sort of like a lesser version of the 16th/17th floor Beresford duplex that Bob Weinstein has been trying to flip since 2005. A little smaller, a little cheaper (ha) at $24,000,000, but still basically like living in an actual castle on Central Park West. A sampling of brokerbabble (boldage ours):
Highlighting the impressive limestone foyer with double-height ceiling is a majestic, sweeping limestone staircase. The massive living room is perfect for sumptuous entertaining, with a wood-burning fireplace, and more windows than any other living room in the building offering sweeping city and park vistas. An enormous terrace surrounds the living room, creating a dreamy outdoor oasis that features striking original architectural monuments, singularly unique than any other terrace in the building. Yup. That's so Beresford. Since the apartment appears to have been purchased pre-2003, it's not clear who the owner is, but what is clear is that they really like limestone.
