Three Studios That Cost the Same as Jay-Z's Share of the Nets

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

? It's not much of a secret that Jay-Z doesn't really "own" the Nets—in reality, Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov owns the Nets and Jay-Z owns one fifteenth of one percent of the Nets. But how much is that in actual dollars? Still probably a lot, right? Well, with the news that Jay-Z will have to sell off his shares in order to represent NBA players with his new sports agency comes the revelation that the percentage of the team he owns is actually worth...$350,000. In other news, this adorable Chelsea studio, complete with fireplace, has been on the market for around two years and recently chopped its price for the second time. At $359,000, it still costs more than Jay-Z's share of the Nets.

? This Turtle Bay studio is asking exactly $350,000. It has two closets and is 335 square feet. In his 2007 song "30 Something," Jay-Z rapped, "Yeah we used to ball like that / now we own the ball team, holla back."

? Moving over to Brooklyn, this Brooklyn Heights studio is just under 600 square feet, offers a sleeping alcove, and "feels like a true one bedroom." With an asking price of only $340,000, you could get it and still have $10,000 left over to buy the Nets!
