The historic Coney Island amphitheater isn't the only boardwalk structure getting a makeover. The iconic parachute jump is getting bedazzled with 8,000 color-changing LED lights capable of "funky rhythmic displays." Borough prez Marty Markowitz originally wanted to make it a working ride again, but that would have cost 10 times as much. [NYDN; previously]
