The Queens Museum of Art is doubling its size with an expansion set to open in October. That expansion has been in the works since 2001 (though the original plan was a little wackier than what's actually happening). The museum sent along a fresh round of renderings; the $68 million renovation broke ground in 2011. Galleries, artists' studios, event spaces, and all kinds of other goodies will take up the new space.
