The city plans to add seven more years to amusement park operator Zamperla USA's lease on Coney Island to give them more time to recoup their Hurricane Sandy losses. A City Council subcommittee has already approved the move, and the full City Council will have to do the same before it can take effect. Assuming the council gives it the thumbs-up, Zamperla's lease will extend through 2027; the city will get more money in gross receipts during the lease extension. [NYP via Sheepshead Bites]
