Structural Instabilities

New, 1 comment

Tenants were evacuated from 28 Avenue B on Tuesday after one resident reported that her walls were cracking. Now a stop work order has been issued for the construction site next door at 26 Avenue B, where six stories of apartments are on the way up. FDNY has said that excavation at 26 Avenue B may have caused the cracks (which are about two inches wide) and has requested a structural stability inspection. [EVG; previously]
