1) Midtown/Midtown West: For the first time in its history, blockbuster French restaurant Le Bernadin is expanding. By next year, expect a wine bar and a 200-seater private dining room near its current Midtown location.

2) Meatpacking District: Seriously hot opening alert: Manon, a "bonkers" "bi-level Meatpacking funhouse," opens on May 1.

3) Midwood: Legendary pizzeria Di Fara has opened a spinoff restaurant called MD Kitchen. Eggplant parm hero, anyone?

4) Across the Sea: Maury Rubin's City Bakery has expanded to Osaka, Japan, and hey, small world, it turns out that over there they love the pretzel croissant, too!
