Hyatt Union Square Actually Opens, Apocalypse Nigh

New, 15 comments

Gene Kaufman's long-stalled Hyatt Union Square has finally opened its doors to visitors after about five years of construction, DOB violations, lost views, and pushed back opening dates. EV Grieve spotted people (who are paying at least $459 per night, with no free WiFi) this morning bringing in luggage, which makes it official: The Hyatt Union Square is open, and the world is probably ending. The hydroponic bamboo garden is still nowhere to be found.
