The music video for Cat Power's single "Manhattan," which she co-directed, has just been released onto the interwebs. It features the indie singer-songwriter, sporting a faded denim button-down with white fingerless gloves, applauding buskers in the Union Square station, sitting on stoops, thumbing through vintage records, and just generally being New York-y. Her head, topped with a bleached shaggy pixie cut, bops past NYC icons as if she were riding a hovercraft along highways, bridges, and streets. A couple of romantic slo-mo pans of graffiti later, and, as Stereogum said, "If you are not currently in New York, it will make you wish you were there." Watch it. [EV Grieve]
