Starchitecture Wars In Downtown Miami; Rooftop Mini Golf

The latest from Curbed Miami, our outpost in the "Sixth Borough"...

1) Downtown: The iconic Miami Freedom Tower, which could be considered Miami's Statue of Liberty, could be dwarfed by a new 704 foot tower being proposed so close to it that the new tower will have the same address. What the new building will look like is still a mystery.

2) South Beach: Steady progress is being made on the master planning of the new Miami Beach Convention Center. It's still a battle to the wits between starchitects Bjarke Ingels and Rem Koolhaas, and this time Rem's got more renderings and a fly-through of his proposal.

3) South Beach: Lincoln Road, Miami Beach's insanely popular pedestrian mall, is getting a rooftop mini golf course geared towards families who are bored with the only other two 'family' activities on the strip, movies and bowling. It's bound to be popular with drunken golfers too.
