Bowery Boogie delivers a concise history of New York City graffiti, from the ubiquitous covered subway cars of the 80s to the work of two big guns today: 2ESAE (aka Mike Baca) and SKI. These modern-day taggers have done work for Barney's and just put up an exhibition in the Citigroup building, which is pretty far from the hiding-in-shadowy-street-corners fun of yesteryear. But hey, their mark is still all over the subway system, so we're glad to see that the urban art form isn't completely bound by the rule of law. [BB]
